These images were shot in July 2014 from inside the mill pond when it had been drained for maintenance. I discovered areas of desert like scorched clay and also areas where grasses had quickly taken root. It was a surprise and rare sight to see hundreds of open Swan Mussel shells glowing in the sunlight. There are also two stone circles in the mill pond, both lay beneath the normal water level . Later in 2014 the mill pond was re-filled and everything in these photographs is now again submerged.
