Maintain Up The Excellent Function.

Doors. Sheffield S7Three years ago today Postcard Cafe said a big snowy hello from the rooftop of a city centre car park.  Nearly three hundred blog posts later Postcard Cafe is celebrating its third anniversary with an abstract photograph taken inside a derelict building in Sheffield!

New for this year Postcard Cafe now has an official motto* and we will continue to “maintain up the excellent function”

Thank you to Neo Watercolour for the celebratory Postcard Cafe Fiat 500 Abarth which now takes over from the original Postcard Cafe Fiat 500 on the “About” page.  Postcard Cafe Fiat 500 Abarth by Victoria Butterell

New motto, new Fiat 500! Things look set for an interesting 2013….

*Thank you to Painting The Town for providing Postcard Cafe with the new snappy official 2013 motto.

    • Thank you. It’s interesting that derelict buildings can offer such colourful subjects. V sent the image of the fiat in an email but what I didn’t know until a couple of days ago is that she is giving me the original as a present! Brilliant. It is in the post so I’ve not see it yet but am very much looking forward to its arrival. V painted a Fiat 500 for my first blog anniversary as a surprise and I am just about to get if from the framers. It’s taken me that long to get it into a frame!

    • Thank you. It’s interesting how we all see things differently. An earlier comment mentioned “ice cream colours”. Part of the joy of sharing my photographs is seeing things differently through the comments people leave. Thanks again, best wishes, PC

  1. It’s taken a while but I have just checked out Painting the Town. That message is really something! It sounded like a Chinese slogan when it turned up on this post. Not sure what it sounds like now! Something to live up to, definitely?
